Friday in East Jordan

We spent most of Friday afternoon  in East Jordan, located on the South arm of Lake Charlevoix. It was a beautiful afternoon although it took us a couple of trys to get the anchor just right. We ended up using both anchors. I've attached a picture of the Captain taking it easy! Got his new Wooden Boat hat on and a beer! Life is good!
The South arm of Lake Charlevoix is so beautiful. Homes of all types dot the shoreline and in some cases all you can see through the trees is the roof line. But you know there's a house because the shore is filled with power boats, sail boats, seadoos and every other water toy you can imagine. There are large homes and smaller homes; there are condos. Anything you'd want is here.
The lake is pretty busy. Lots of boaters waterskiing and tubing; lots of jet skis. I've attached a few pictures of homes along the way. There is one that was most interesting. It's quite large with a red metal roof and lots of windows. The siding on the home is green with red trim. It looks very Christmassy!
So now we've come back to the main lake and are headed to Boyne City. We'll anchor out tonight and tomorrow head into the municipal marina. We'll leave the boat there for a week while we head to Iowa for a family gathering over the July 4th festivities..
Can't wait to see everyone!
Will write more later.
Love and blessings,
Margo and Skip
