Jonah...

Well there she sits!  She doesn't look to good right now... no mast, no dodger or bemini. Naked boat!  Soon, very soon!

Visit....

I'm back...
a recent visit to the boat produced some pictures of what she looks like right now! It's pretty ugly! We have much work to still do. Additionally we found that with the flooding on Barkley and Kentucky lakes, our mast had been underwater for about a week. So we've lost all the electronics... not a good thing with the sail being so close.

We are still planning to load the boat on June 9 and launch her at Michigan City on June 10.
We'll be in touch again soon!

Blessings,
Margo and Skip

Update

Getting closer and closer everyday!  Not much longer and we will set sail.  But before we go we have a few things on our calendar.
Had a great picnic today with the MOM's Connection from church. What a great time we had. Food was good and the company amazing.  Dinner and cards later this evening with Pat and Melba.  Always fun. Sure will miss our card games while we're gone!
Going back to the boat on Thursday  to clean a bit before the Memorial Day weekend with the kids.  (always such a grand time!)  We learned last week that the mast was underwater for about a week.  All the electronics within the mast have to be replaced! Yikes!  That's the bad news... the good news is we have insurance!
Pictures of the boat will follow as soon as I can figure out how to download them to this blog.
Have a wonderful Saturday.  See you in church tomorrow!!
Blessings,
M

And so it begins...

Well time is fast approaching for our great adventure to begin!  Happy and sad all at the same time. Lots of emotion as we leave the family behind for the Summer.
Watch for more and frequent updates as we begin with the boat move on June 9!

Blessings,
M
